This is my project car. It all began when my friend Al, asked me what I wanted for Christmas. I told him that I wanted his car, which was a 1966 Chevy Impala SS sitting in his mothers driveway for the past 11 years. Al had owned
this car for 14 years of his life before finally giving it to me. The car was last registered
in 1990.
It took a couple of months to persuade Al to give this car to me. It
was clear that he was never going to get a chance to work on it again. I
explained to him that I have the time and money to invest and I am willing to do
it. This would be a lot better than seeing such a beautiful car rust away. So on Feb. 3 2001, Al handed me the registration and this is when my project began.
This web site will show my progress from beginning to end. I will include
links, pictures, part prices, labor hours, and any other relevant information in
regards to this project.
